Sjögren’s Syndrome is a chronic autoimmune condition that affects moisture-producing glands throughout the body, commonly causing persistent dry eyes, dry mouth, fatigue, joint pain, and cognitive difficulties. These symptoms can significantly impact quality of life and daily functioning. Despite its widespread effects, treatment options remain limited, creating a need for innovative therapies that address the underlying disease mechanisms.

This clinical trial is evaluating RSLV-132, an investigational therapy designed to target inflammatory pathways believed to contribute to Sjögren’s Syndrome symptoms. By reducing immune system activity associated with inflammation, researchers hope to improve key symptoms such as dryness, fatigue, pain, and cognitive impairment while maintaining a favorable safety profile.

The study is a Phase 2, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial enrolling women with moderate to severe Sjögren’s Syndrome symptoms. Participants will receive either RSLV-132 or placebo and will be monitored over a 24-week treatment period to evaluate symptom improvement, overall well-being, and quality of life.

Researchers will assess changes in fatigue, dryness, pain levels, cognitive function, and overall disease burden using validated patient-reported outcome measures. The study also includes laboratory testing and biomarker analysis to better understand how the investigational treatment may influence disease activity.
